Overview
Aseer Development Authority is a government initiative established to drive the development and transformation of the Aseer region into a distinctive global destination. The brand aims to showcase the region’s unique natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and local identity while creating new opportunities for tourism, investment, and community growth.

Design Direction
ُThe design direction was rooted in the authentic character of Aseer, translating the region’s cultural heritage and natural landscapes into a contemporary visual expression. The identity was developed around the Arabic wordmark “عسير”, where each letter becomes a representation of Aseer’s distinctive landmarks, from its mountains to its coastline.

Inspired by Al-Qatt Al-Asiri (القط العسيري), the traditional decorative art form of Aseer, the Arabic lettering reflects the region’s craftsmanship, patterns, and cultural heritage. This approach creates an identity where language, landscape, and tradition come together to tell the story of Aseer.
